Chronology

• 1989 – Graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine - University of Lisbon.
• 1993 – Together with his medical and clinical research team, he begins to develop the All-on-4™ technique. Implemented in 1998, this innovative approach is recognized by the medical community as one the most significant advances in field of Implant Dentistry.
• 1995 – Founded the MALO CLINIC. In only a few years,  what began as a dental clinic in Lisbon became a worldwide reference in Implantology and fixed Oral Rehabilitation as well as one of largest educational centre on Oral Rehabilitation, with more than 3500 professionals trained per year.
• A pioneer in immediate function for single teeth crowns and small bridges, for Paulo Malo, research became a high priority. Since 1999 several products related to implant dentistry were developed. Solutions such as MALO CLINIC Bridge and the  NobelSpeedy™ implant share the 14 patents registered.
• 2004 – To guarantee the development of these products be of the highest quality, MALO CLINIC Ceramics was founded. Specialized laboratories that work exclusively in the manufacturing of fixed prostheses for dental implants and natural teeth.
• 2008 – Understanding the patient’s needs, he expands services to other clinical specialties through an innovative concept of Medical Spa that combines preventive and integrate medicine with a Spa environment.
• 2009 – PhD on Oral Biology from the Sagrado Coração University, Bauru, Brazil.
• Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and supported by a continuous innovation, the Group presided over by Paulo Malo is one of the most international health and wellness companies, already present in 10 countries on 5 continents.
• As for  his entrepreneurial skills, it also important to highlight the recognition of other successful business concepts in areas such as Design and Communication, Restaurant and Food Products, or Tourism. Common to all distinctive investments is an enormous pleasure and personal engagement as well as his talent to benefit from a “window of opportunity”.
• Co-author of books and more than 20 scientific articles about Oral Implantotology, Paulo Malo is a visiting professor to several prestigious universities and frequent guest speaker at many international conferences, where he often lectures on various clinical topics and health management issues. He is also a leading consultant in four international dental corporations.
• For his medical breakthroughs or his management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills, Paulo Malo has been recognized with several awards and recognitions.
